Dr Samantha Walker
Dr Samantha Walker is Director of Education & Research at Education for Health in Warwick and Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Division of Community Health Sciences, University of Edinburgh. Her research interests include health services and clinical care in relation to effectively managing allergic patients. She is committed to improving allergy services in primary and secondary care, in particular, by promoting collaborative working among community based doctors and nurses. She is a past member of the council of the British Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (BSACI) and is an active member of the BSACI Primary Care Group, Standards of Care and Education Committees. She represented primary care, tertiary care and nursing interests in the Department of Health review of allergy services. Samantha holds a PhD from Imperial College.
Rebecca Elder
Rebecca qualified as a General and Sick Children’s Nurse and has worked at The John Radcliffe, Great Ormond Street and Toronto Sick Children’s Hospitals. Her background is in Paediatric Intensive Care but more recently has been an Asthma Nurse Specialist at Asthma UK and is currently working as a Paediatric Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist at King’s College Hospital in London. She holds a BSc (Hons), an asthma degree qualification and is currently working towards a Masters in Allergy at Imperial College, London. She is a member of the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Royal College of Nursing Allergy and Clinical Immunology Group and the Anaphylaxis Campaign.K.
Amena Warner
Amena trained as a registered nurse at University College Hospital. She has thirty years of nursing experience gained intitally at University College Hospital and subsequently in many different hospital and community settings. She has obtained paediatric experience through her work at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital . Amena currently works at St Helier Hospital in Surrey as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Immunology & Allergy. She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing's (RCN) Immunology & Allergy Group and is a previous Board Member and Treasurer. Amena is the Treasurer of The International Nurses group in Immunodeficiency and is also currently the RCN Immunology & Allergy representative on the BSACI council and Chair of the National Nurses in Allergy Committee.
Andrew Williams
Andrew was educated at Ruskin University. He is a member of the Royal College of Nursing and the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He is a Consultant Nurse at Homerton University Hospital and is also Joint Lead of the East London and Essex Allergy Network. Andrew is the first allergy specialist in the United Kingdom to receive an appointment as a Consultant Nurse within the National Health Service. He is currently studying for a Masters in Allergy at the University of Southampton.
Kevin Wilkinson
Kevin has worked in healthcare for the past twenty years in senior management roles in leading companies within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry including Eli Lilly & Company and Allergy Therapeutics Limited. He has a BA from the University of Toronto and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
